Trailers of Death / Dhiraj Rai

I want to live immortal,

but this life shows trailers of death

time and time again.

Do not know, why

the gendered flood of tearlessness

tramples over my chest.

At what point

the belief that salivates seeing my rights

did emerge?

Or, did it forget the womb

where it grew up?

No, it does not match at all-

Its pleasure – a bondage for me

Its duty – torn off rights for me

Its satisfaction – raping of mine.

Its epitome match never

in any measure

with this life.

Still, I want to live continually.

Knowing not

why does this life show trailers of death

time and time again?
